It started with a late night friday to get dave's variant mot'd and my golf to run without stalling. So the 12 noon departure time pasted, all expect me and Dave were ready so like all good plans everyone expect me and Dave set off.

The trip down was nice and steady with no need to rush, the sun was high in the sky and the tunes beating softy in the back ground.  We all met up on the Walsh board, for a brew and a burger. Dave was still in yorkshire as I'd decided to set off. The entrance to the show site was very grand, the dirt road leading to the camping fields were a bit of a problem for everyone in lowered cars.  We set up camp with Gary's camper boiling the kettle and Rachel's barking the orders we were set up in no time.

Booth had the tent set up and Bezz had Lilly so Tracey took advantage and downed a few beers. With Dave turning up as the sun was setting. to nobody's surprise the variant wasn't road legal so had towed it down on the trailer.  It wasn't long before i'd had one to many and stole the bumpers from his car and fitted them to the golf. With most people in agreement it looked kinda cool.

With the night of drinking we all woke to the sun beating down on then tents. fry up's and tea were supplied by Tracey and Rachel. A camp site clean up and a navy shower and we were all ready for the days show.

Me and Dave enter our cars in the mk1 and type 3 stands. With the show field filling up with some very cool cars early on the day was set to be good. It was great in fact with old skool to new skool lined up next to each other, every aspect of favour was covered. Some of the best cars in england were there inc, the grey mk1 gti and the cherry red splitty which both one awards.

To summarise the weekend up it gets a thumbs up by me and the club with next years club stand already booked. see you there 2008.
